Extended Care

For those parents in need of childcare outside of the academic day, Saint Bernard Catholic Academy offers an Extended Care Program. The program is supervised by members of our faculty. (Mrs. Deborah, and Miss Samantha)

Before our academic day begins, students may be brought to our morning program, which begins at 6:30am. Students may bring their breakfast if they wish. Students play, engage in conversation with one another, or catch up on their academic work.

Morning Care

$30 per child per month, no matter how many or how few days you utilize the program. All children in Jr.Pre-K to Grade 6 (Grade 7th and 8th Upon Request) arriving at school before 7:45am and unsupervised by an adult will be sent to the morning care program. This is for the safety of all our children. Please be advised that no child will be permitted in the building before 7:50am unless utilizing the before-school program.

Afternoon Care

Beginning at dismissal and until 6pm, students may remain for our afternoon program. Students are given time to complete their homework, and then they engage in recreational activities. Please provide your child with an afternoon snack.

It is the responsibility of the children to have all of the necessary material with them to complete their homework. This will not be a tutoring session, and parents are encouraged to review the homework each evening. Studying and projects should also be done at home with parents.

Afternoon Care (Begins when your child is dismissed and enters the after-care classroom)

– 1 child: $13 per day or $52 per week
– 2 children: $18 per day or $72 per week
– 3 children: $23 per day or $92 per week
– 4 children: $28 per day or $112 per week

Afternoon Care (more than 1 hour)

– 1 child: $23 per day or $92 per week
– 2 children: $28 per day or $112 per week
– 3 children: $33 per day or $132 per week
– 4 children: $38 per day or $152 per week

You are charged $5.00 per minute for every minute after 6:00pm! Please be on time to pick up your child. Our teachers have commitments to their own families and often to a graduate school program. It is inconsiderate to the teacher on duty and worrisome to your child if you are late.
